About Me
- Stacy
- This blog started out as a way for me to display and sell my handmade jewelry creations. I have set up shop on Etsy.com, where my shop name is "Dreamin of Beadin". The link to my Etsy store is located on the right hand side of this page. Please check me out!! If jewelry's not your thing, then check out the site anyway ~ there are plenty of talented artists selling lots of cool things there. For your reading pleasure, this blog will serve as a sneak peek into what's going on "behind the scenes" in my world. I love to cook, so there will be plenty of recipes, as well as product reviews and the occasional product giveaway (woo hoo!) I also love to take pictures of anything and everything, and I just bought a new camera, so there will be plenty of photos. And I like wine too, so things could get pretty interesting . . . Thank you for your support of me, Etsy and "all things handmade" :)

I Need One of These!
When it comes to the latest gadgets, I’m not exactly what you would call savvy. So that’s why I really flipped when I came across this while surfing the web a few days ago. It is a Gorillapod flexible tripod by Joby. Maybe you’ve seen one before? I had not. But now that I have, I know I must get one. The big tripod I have is too heavy to lug around, and the small one I bought a few months ago tips over from the weight of my camera. The Gorillapod is flexible and rotates 360 degrees in any direction ~ it can be wrapped around just about anything, from a tree to a chair to a fence post ~ you name it. They even make one for DSLR cameras. (I don’t have one of those . . . yet.) This means no more silly arms length self portraits of the hubby and I when we go on vacation. I’m marking this one down, because when the holidays get here I will probably forget to put it on my wish list. Mom, Dad . . . I hope you’re reading.

I saw these back in May at Best Buy, when I was doing some camera shopping and they are pretty neat. At first I didn't know what they were and my husband just happened to come over and explain to me what they were and what they do. If only I had thought of this little invention first!
Hope you get one!
What a cool gadget! I have never seen one like it, and don't own any others... Hmmm, not a bad idea to add this to my wish list. :)
We got one. They are really cool.
Now, they won't keep a camera attached to a moving stroller (the bumpiness makes the camera gradually fall...doh...but the video was to bumpy to use anyways)...but it will keep it on about everything else I've tried.
