In just over 24 hours, we will be saying goodbye to 2009 and hello to 2010. I don’t know about you, but I am welcoming the New Year with open arms. Not only is this a time to reflect on the trials, tribulations, joys, and celebrations of the past year, but also to erase the slate and start anew. Although I used to resist making resolutions for the coming year, I’ve learned to keep them simple and realistic. That way, the odds are in my favor that I’ll actually attain them, rather than give up altogether with much frustration. For 2010, I’ve decided to make some resolutions for my shop. These are more or less goals I hope to reach over the next year. Here we go:
1. Get my new craft room in order and organize supplies. This is really going to be my first course of action, since I am feeling rather stifled by my surroundings right now. Now that the holidays are nearly over, I can get down to business and make this happen, before I do anything else.
2. Learn some new techniques, i.e. Pearl knotting, which I started last year, but never got really good at. I’d also like to venture into metal stamping and mixed media jewelry designs.
3. Continue to offer well thought out designs. I’m talking Quality vs. Quantity here. You might not see new designs from me as often, but when you do, I want them to really “wow” you.
4. Roll out my second Etsy shop. I’ve already created the shop, but I have yet to fill it up with vintage treasures and jewelry supplies that I want to de-stash.
So that’s my list . . . for now. I have the best of intentions to accomplish these over the next 365 days. Hopefully you’ll stick with me to find out if I do :)

You can do it, Stacy! All your goals sound not only exciting but certainly attainable. Talk to Alison about stamping - she has been learning it and can share tricks of the trade! I was a little sad when I did not find a trip to NYC in your 2010 resolutions, but I know it's only because you blogged about your jewelry shops, not travel plans. ;)
