It rained for the first 3.5 days, which we were not prepared for, at all. Luckily a $15 umbrella from the Smithsonian got us through. Now we can sit back and laugh about our adventures in the DC rain.
The reward for enduring all that rain was picture perfect weather during the last few days. Here's a shot of the sun shining on the reflecting pool, with the Lincoln Memorial in the background.
About Me
- Stacy
- This blog started out as a way for me to display and sell my handmade jewelry creations. I have set up shop on Etsy.com, where my shop name is "Dreamin of Beadin". The link to my Etsy store is located on the right hand side of this page. Please check me out!! If jewelry's not your thing, then check out the site anyway ~ there are plenty of talented artists selling lots of cool things there. For your reading pleasure, this blog will serve as a sneak peek into what's going on "behind the scenes" in my world. I love to cook, so there will be plenty of recipes, as well as product reviews and the occasional product giveaway (woo hoo!) I also love to take pictures of anything and everything, and I just bought a new camera, so there will be plenty of photos. And I like wine too, so things could get pretty interesting . . . Thank you for your support of me, Etsy and "all things handmade" :)

Our Adventures in DC
I've been MIA, and that's because Mr. V and I took a trip to Washington D.C. It was part vacation/part American History class refresher, but seeing that we are both huge history buffs, we didn't mind in the least. In less than one week, we covered so much ground and saw most of this beautiful city and its amazing architecture, museums, and landmarks. Here are a few highlights from our adventures in the nation's capital. I snapped over 600 photos during the trip, but I'll spare you from having to sit through them all!

Yay - welcome back! The pictures are beautiful! Sorry it rained, but glad it got nice in the end. :)
Glad you had a great time in DC! I've always wanted to go and visit there, maybe one of these days. I love the picture with the sun gleaming down on the water, great shot!
