About Me

My photo
This blog started out as a way for me to display and sell my handmade jewelry creations. I have set up shop on Etsy.com, where my shop name is "Dreamin of Beadin". The link to my Etsy store is located on the right hand side of this page. Please check me out!! If jewelry's not your thing, then check out the site anyway ~ there are plenty of talented artists selling lots of cool things there. For your reading pleasure, this blog will serve as a sneak peek into what's going on "behind the scenes" in my world. I love to cook, so there will be plenty of recipes, as well as product reviews and the occasional product giveaway (woo hoo!) I also love to take pictures of anything and everything, and I just bought a new camera, so there will be plenty of photos. And I like wine too, so things could get pretty interesting . . . Thank you for your support of me, Etsy and "all things handmade" :)

Spring has Sprung!!

I just thought I'd share a few pics I took of my backyard gardens. I shot them on 4/18, when the little shoots were just beginning to poke through. As you can imagine, they look quite different now! With the exception of the top left photo, all of the flowers came from my Grandparents' yard. When they passed away, I dug out as many perennials from their flowerbeds as I could, and replanted them at my house. Most of the flowers in my backyard are a tribute to them, since they were very proud of their Black River, MI homestead.
The sun decoration in the middle photo was made by my cousin and his wife, Lee. She created the design and he welded the metal into shape. Lee is an extremely talented artist who recently has fallen very ill. We are all praying that she will get well soon so that she can continue making her beautiful art!
I'm going to have to get back out there with my camera and take some updated photos. For now, here you go:
